Another staple is our dedicated Thornville production site growing transplants and seedlings by the 100,000s. Seedlings typically begin as a 1 year undercut at a starting size of 20cm and increase to 1+2yr transplant or undercut, which will range in size from 30 to 120cm.
Our plants are selected on strength and vigour, with stem diameter at root collar (ground level) being part of the fundamental selection criteria. Our supply of native and indigenous stock underpins our environmental credentials. In one principal product line alone (Hawthorn), we supply sufficient plants annually to plant a continuous hedge for 90 miles, at a spacing of five plants per metre.
