Management Trainee – Fixed Term contract for 2 years with the possibility of a permanent role

Hours: 39 per week, usually, 7.30 am -4 pm Monday – Thursday and 7.30 am – 3.00 pm Friday, but flexibility is required.

Salary: £21, 500 – £23, 000 per year

We are situated in the Vale of York, in rural North Yorkshire and are one of the largest Wholesale Plant Nurseries in the Country, delivering plants all over the UK and Northern Ireland.

Our Management Trainee programme is second to none, you’ll be supported and mentored for two years whilst you gain practical experience in different nursery operations functions and departments. In order to broaden your experience, we’re hoping you’ll be able to work with some of our trusted suppliers based in Europe and we’ll support you in studying for an appropriate management qualification.

We’ll need you to already have as a minimum; an HND or Foundation Degree in horticulture or an HND or Foundation Degree in business management with experience of working in a commercial horticultural business.  You’ll need to be an effective communicator, have some numeracy and IT skills, plant knowledge, a full driving licence which is valid in the UK and be a great organiser.
